More Than A Game

My son Ben and I were in Rupp Arena for the crowd pop when Big Z hit Antonio Threeves with that behind-the-back pass for a corner 3. I think it was the moment that Ben really fell in love with Kentucky basketball. It’s really something you can’t describe. It’s something you have to feel. There’s something about that many people wanting the same thing, and experiencing it at the same time. You get the desire to “win” with any and every fan base. Of course you want your team to get more points. But with Kentucky basketball, it’s something different. It’s more than points. I dare say, it’s even more than championships: It’s family.
